Purpose of eoddr.com

The Developmental Disability Resources web site is the brainchild of the Quality Improvement Council of the Eastern Oregon Regional Crisis Program. The Council members are people with developmental disabilities, family members, vocational and residential 24-hour service providers, foster care providers, and staff members. The Council members said they would like to see a site that would help answer questions such as:

• "I'm new to the area. What supports are there in this county that I should know about?"

• "Why should I want to enroll my family member in the Service Coordination system?"

• "What is the eligibility criteria to be enrolled in Service Coordination?"

The Quality Improvement Council envisioned a web site that would do the following:
1. Make information easy to find--for individuals and families, Service Coordinators, service providers and others interested who support people with developmental disabilities.
2. Include information about local and state resources and links to other knowledge bases.
3. Include information about how the system works--where to go to get what kinds of assistance.
4. Facilitate people making connections with others in eastern Oregon by invitation to our visitors to share their own news, tips, and knowledge here.
