Personal Care Services
"Personal Care Services" are available to people who are (1) enrolled in DD Service Coordination, (2) receive the Oregon Health Plan and (3) meet the required level of need for personal assistance services. Personal Care Services are available for children as well as adults. The state pays the provider of services directly on behalf of the family or adult, who is the actual employer.

The personal care services provider assists the individual with activities of daily living, such as helping with nutrition needs, or going to the doctor's office. The individual or family chooses who they will hire as the personal services provider. In most cases, personal care service providers must have a criminal history background check including finger prints. Service Coordinators or Personal Agents authorize personal care services for those who are eligible.
