The
Regional Crisis Program works with individuals, family members,
Service Coordinators and service providers to accomplish the following:
1) Respond
to referrals by Service Coordinators to crisis situations where an individual
is at risk of losing his or her long-term residential placement or
other crisis situations. The
Crisis/Diversion staff and the Service Coordinator work together as part
of the team with the individual and family to prevent loss
of placements
whenever
possible.
2)
Strengthen the capacity of resource providers and families within
the thirteen counties to support individuals with a wide range
of needs in order to increase the opportunities for individuals
to live in or near their county of residence.
3) Manage the Crisis resources in the thirteen counties for adults
and children effectively and efficiently. Management of scarce resources
involves working to meet the individual and family's preferences
for the kinds of support needed within the requirements of state
regulations, funding availability and local resources.
